Untidy writing is usually blamed on carelessness. Most of the time the real reason is a wrong pen grip, a wrist that drags on the page, or letters started from the wrong point, repeated so many times that it has become a habit.
You cannot see any of that in a finished worksheet. That is why this course is taught with the camera on the page, so the teacher corrects the hand while it is still writing.
Twelve live classes over four weeks. We take a photo of the writing in the first class and in the last class, so you can see the before and after side by side.
How to hold the pen with three fingers, how to place the paper, how to sit, and how hard to press. Warm up strokes and pattern practice to loosen the hand.
Every letter is taught again from its correct starting point, in groups of similar letters. After that, keeping letters the same size, sitting on the line, and leaving the right gap between letters and words.
Copying and dictation against the clock, so the new writing holds up in a paper that must be finished in forty minutes. Neat writing that falls apart under time pressure is not fixed writing.
Class times are set in Indian time (IST).
The course runs for one month, with three live classes a week. Most of the change shows in the second and third week, once the grip and the letter shapes have been corrected.
